Boomtown

Another festival!

This was our stall. This festival wasn't as good as Secret Garden Party. It was messier and the people were rougher. I can see how it would have been fun to go to if you were with a bunch of friends, but since I was working it was not as much fun.

They set up a big sort of city which was quite cool. Our stall was in downtown!

We paid to use the luxury toilets for the weekend which were amazing! They cleaned them after every person and they opened the doors for you! They even had a styling station with hairspray and deodorant and things!

These two mad men put on an electricity display. I thought it was terrifying!

Our tents!

One of our coffee machines and the best coffee cups ever!

Me and Emma went on this ride at night. So much fun!

We wanted to go on this ride but it kept hiding and pretending not to be there anymore.

At least they are honest!

Secret Garden Party

I was lucky enough to be able to work at this very cool festival called Secret Garden Party! It was north of London near Cambridge and went for 4 days. We camped right out the back of the stall so getting to work in the morning was a breeze - tumble out of the tent getting caught on the zip every time and BOOM i was there.

We were selling fro-yo and smoothies but smoothies alone would have been enough as it's all people wanted! We had 4 blenders on the go the whole time, each with 3 smoothies worth in them!

We would get to finish at around 10pm each night after which we could go out and enjoy the festival. There were loads of bands and DJs but I didn't know any of them except Bastille and Regina Spektor, both of which I missed! I got to see Django Django and Faithless who were both very good. We found the smallest disco house ever which was incredible and was nothing more than a garden shed decorated like a mad disco and ONLY played Superstition by Stevie Wonder on repeat!

Here's a cool cloud

It took us like 4 hours to get there in stead of 1.5 hours and then we had to wait in this line for like 2 hours to get in to the festival - not a good start!

Best tent ever

On Saturday there were some of the most amazing fireworks I have ever seen

This is the view from our stall looking over the 2 fro-yo machines

Steve and Kelly!! They are my favorites even though they are Australian

The waffle people next door gave us delicious waffles in between shouting at each other all day and wiping their benches

Our stall was the green one with all the customers. I escaped.

People would go boating on the lake during the day

On the last day me and Kelly got our faces painted!

And Kelly got a tattoo

Nighttime was the best. Each tree was lit a different colour and there were endless things to explore!

Such a great festival!
